Enhancing Library Collaborations for Collective Preservation: Strategies and Future Paths

This collaborative project aims to pursue shared collections with Alliance members to explore regional-level collections, strategies for preserving the "best, last" copy, and optimizing statewide, regional, or national collections. Strategies include central access through Prospector catalog, consortial purchasing for larger discounts, and initiatives with EBL for e-books. Some challenges include economic factors, publisher resistance, and legal agreements. Future collaborations could involve global CSU and CSU-Pueblo, joint discoverability platforms, and expanded roles for RAPID.
