  1. Game design class!!! :D Lead by Lucas

  2. Project Summery • Goal: Successfully continue organizing and teaching the game design class. • Goal: Create an shortened version of the class to use for the summer camp

  3. Project Deliverables • The kids came out smarter • Everything went just as well as last time, if not better. • I was able to create a shortened version for the summer camp that remained coherent and still included the relevant information. • We got through the last 46 elementary and middle school students, plus all of the girls in the summer camp. • It went so well, that more are being planned.

  4. Project Timeline • This time around, the project was able to stick to the timeline. • I attended the meetings for the summer camp to be better prepared to teach my material. • Everything was set up and ready to go by our scheduled date (June 6th) • We didn’t need to add any extra time to get sign ups, as we already had people coming in from last session.

  5. Leadership • This project was relatively easy in comparison to others, and definitely easier than last semester’s version. • By the first week of group assignments, everyone had their tasks. • Gelvez – Get and deliver the butterscotch • O’Brian – Be on staff • Marshall – Things that Lucas didn’t wannado • Got staff from out of class that were good with kids and enjoyed helping.

  6. Equity • Everyone acknowledged that I had done this before, and was happy to do anything they were assigned to do. • Plus everyone did things correctly! Which is awesome. • 0 problems in working together. We made a good team.

  7. Out-of-group Teamwork • We were helped greatly from the summer camp group, and a few from coding also came to help. • Also filled our staff with -The HvZ at FSU club members-members of the circus-my computer science buddies • All had either done it beforeor knew the program already

  8. Long term planning • It’s so successful, that this is just the beginning! • How in depth was all this?>Literally taught a class. Again. And even less mistakes than the first time around! • We’re scheduled to have an advanced game design class on the 27th • UPDATE: Possibly being moved to another date due to scheduling conflicts with the students. • The advanced class is already written out and ready to go. • We plan on doing this throughout the year as a regular thing. • All that’s left right now is to put the class “in a box” for Ebe

  9. Review • 46 kids • Grades 4 to 8 • 6 hour class + 3 hour camp later on • All of them learned the material to an acceptable level • They all loved it • We gave them butterscotch • Were doing it again • And again • And again
