Progress Updates on CVMFS Deployment and WLCG Operations Coordination

The latest developments in the deployment of CVMFS for LHCb and ATLAS are complete, with ongoing progress for CMS and Alice, aiming for a common target date in April 2014. The OCCT is collaborating with Hepix on IPV6 work for WLCG application testing. We will discuss a new proposal on Machine Features and introduce a WLCG Monitoring consolidation project within the IT-SDC group. Additionally, an internal mailing list will be created for Operations site experts to provide feedback and ensure effective communication in monitoring efforts.

  1. News • TF are all progressing well • CVMFS deployment closed for LHCb and ATLAS. Continues for CMS and Alice – common target date for deployment is April 2014 • OCCT is collaborating with Hepix IPV6 work for WLCG application testing • Today we will hear about a proposal for a new one on Machine Features • A WLCG Monitoring consolidation project has been launched in the IT-SDC group • Experiments are represented • WLCG Operations Coordination will be represented too • As OCCT, we would like to complement the input with the sites perspective • An an internal mailing list will be created in Operations open to site experts on Monitoring who want to provide ”Input from Operations to Monitoring” and ensure bidirectional information • PepeFlix will be the moderator of this forum and will participate in the meeting as primary link (Maria Girone as backup) Maria Girone, CERN-IT
