DØRACE Update: SAM Setup Aborted, Successful VRVS Testing, and New Software Release

The DØRACE initiative is progressing with important updates. The setup for stations without SAM has been aborted, and the new release will feature critical fixes. Two sites, Korea University and Rice University, are advancing through different phases of deployment. A successful VRVS testing session occurred on May 31, involving multiple institutions. Participants have learned key lessons on improving meeting interoperability. The UTA's McFarm control software is set for distribution today. A presentation on the DØ Regional Analysis Center Proposal will occur at the upcoming ADM meeting.

News • No SAM station abort of setup for stations without SAM Edit out the line containing sam_config from :   /d0dist/dist/releases/p11.07.00/ups/D0RunII.table • New release will have the fix • Two sites are at various stages • Korea U.: Phase III  Hit open port issue with SAM • Rice U.: Phase II • DØRACE VRVS Testing Friday, May 31, very successful • VRVS Support team helped out through both the sessions • 9am session: 8 institutions • 1pm session: 12 institutions • Learned a few lessons: • We can post documents from a VNC server to everyone participating in the meeting • Better to use headsets with mic to minimize feed-back • Mute your mic when not in use DØRACE J.
