  4. Experience in RCPS I am currently a Special Education teacher at Hidden Valley High School. I have been with Roanoke County Schools since January, 2006. During my tenure, I have taught with faculty in many departments, including English, Math, and Science. Additionally, I teach the Developmental Reading classes at the school.

  5. Personal Attributes Extensive background in the field of Special Education in a variety of settings. Thorough understanding of the needs of Special Education students and parents. Ability to effectively communicate with others. Willingness to collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to address students’ educational needs. Detail oriented.

  6. My educational background and wide range of professional experiences make me the ideal candidate for this position. My work experience includesProfessional Clinics, Private Schools, and Public Schools, working with children of all ages and ability levels. Working with parents of special needs children has been invaluable in understanding the complex issues involved when dealing with families of special needs children.

This would create a forum for teachers to learn simple, easy-to-implement strategies that are specific to their content area. Vision Statement cont…
