  3. What is MUN? Model United Nations is a Debate and International Affair society. • Strive to enhance the understanding of international affairs and decision-making by simulating the proceedings of international organizations, such as the United Nations, European Union etc. • In Model UN conferences students act as ‘delegates’ on behalf of countries or individuals. • Delegates prepare policy papers, debate issues and draft ‘resolutions’ that tackle specific problems and offer solutions.

Conferences • We annually attend 6 conferences around the globe: Security Council Simulation at Yale (SCSY) October University of Pennsylvania (UPMUNC) November McGill University (McMUN) January Harvard University (HNMUN) February World MUN March University of Chicago (ChoMUN) April • Throughout the year, we organize intra-BU conferences in order for our members to gain valuable debating experience

  8. Boston University’s collegiate level conference. Simulates a joint six committee global crisis. Taking place 5-7th October. We could still use some help in logistical operations, and a very small number of crisis staff. Taking place in Photonics Center. What is BarMUN?

Other Events • Annual Trip to the UN Headquarters in NYC. • Guest Speakers from different areas and regions of International Affairs. • Career Panels with experts in International Relations, Journalism, Military, NGO’s and various government agencies. • Professor led discussions. • Public Speaking Seminar run by professional coach. • Social Events, Documentary screening • Joint events with other student groups.
