Visioning Religious Education is an ongoing task of the Religious Leader
The Vision for Religious Education gives voice to what each school hopes for their students in terms of their religious literacy and faith formation. The schools and colleges of the Archdiocese of Brisbane aspire to educate and form
students who are challenged to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and who are literate in the Catholic and broader Christian tradition so that they might participate critically and authentically in faith contexts and wider society
“Develop your culture with wisdom … Ask culture what values it promotes, what destiny it offers, what place it makes for the poor and the disinherited, how it conceives of sharing, forgiveness, love.”
(Pope John Paul II, 1984)
The four strands of the Religion Curriculum P-12 (Sacred Texts, Beliefs, Church and Christian Life) are interrelated and their content is taught in an integrated way.

Keep doing what you've always done
Ignore it- trends come and go
Throw out the baby with the bath water
Jump on EVERY bandwagon
Waste your time and energy whinging
Fake it.... Do what you've always done but call it a different name
My work is important
I make a difference
I'm good at what I do (feedback)
What I do is appreciated (feedback/praise)
I belong and I am part of a team
In this time of transformation, when something is asked of you as an educative and religious leader ….
May Jesus Christ, crucified and risen,
Be your inspiration, your centre, your strength and your hope.
May you have the grace and wisdom
To act with compassion and justice in all things.
And may those who work with you know that you see and respect them.
May you treasure the gifts of the mind and the heart,
Where vision and discernment draw enrichment from the past,
Even as new horizons are embraced.
May you know the supportive power of community;
And may leadership be for you a true adventure of growth.
And may Almighty God bless us, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
