  1. NEET 2018 exam is scheduled to be held in the month of May. With approximately a year’s time in hand; students can make an effective plan and follow it dedicatedly. Here are NEET 2018 exam tips for cracking the exam with one year’s preparation time.

  2. Start with understanding the syllabus. This will save you from studying the irrelevant topics and focusing on the important ones. Important topics:- Physics:-Optics, Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Nuclear Physics. Chemistry:-General Organic Chemistry, Mole Concept, Periodic Table, Coordination Chemistry, Chemical Bonding etc. Biology:-Genetics, Ecology and Environment, Cell Biology; Reproduction and Physiology of Plants and Animals, Morophology; Basics of Biotechnology

  3. The best way to find good study material is to look for Previous Years’ Toppers’ recommendations. Find them in Toppers’ Interview. • Ask teachers and subject experts for books’ recommendations. • Previous Years’ question papers, sample papers and mock tests are good study and practice material.

  4. Feasible study plan is one which can be achieved. • Don’t set unrealistic goals. Consider your schedule such as coaching timings, school timings etc. while making a study plan. • Make a big plan for the complete year. • Divide you big plan into small plans such as monthly and weekly. • Keep extra time to focus on weaker sections. • Most important; Keep short breaks between study sessions.

  5. Instead of considering your Smartphone as a distraction, use it as a study tool. It can help you in various ways through:- • Online mock tests • Education blogs • Videos • Mobile Apps • Messaging Apps to stay connected with teachers and friends. • Always remember, you are smarter than your Smartphone. So, you have to decide how you want to use it.

  6. Most challenging part of the NEET exam is ‘180 questions in 180 minutes’. So, time management becomes mandatory. • Take mock tests regularly. • Solve previous years’ question papers. It will give you an idea about the frequently targeted areas. • Practice sample papers. • While solving all the above papers, set a time limit of 3 hours.

  7. This is the most important tip as a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. • Avoid junk and oily food. Eat light and healthy food. • Get enough sleep. • Do yoga and meditation for better concentration. • All the tips provided above will work only when you will focus on this one.
