CASS at the NLS • Materials straight on shelves • 4649 linear metres in use, 1 km left • Metadata loaded within 48 hours • 31,000 items processed • Non processed materials available • 486 requests received • Glasgow Caledonian highest requestor > 200 • Approx 40 not satisfied • Requests processed within 2-4 hours

  7. Metadata preprocessing • Convert MARC exchange to MARC display using MARCEdit • http://oregonstate.edu/~reeset/marcedit/html/ • Add and delete fields as appropriate • Using MARCEdit VB scripts • Convert to MARC exchange • Load onto server • Load into CASS catalogue, creating holdings
