  • Decreasing Irrigation facilities due to
  • Inadequate rainfall
  • Depleting Water Table
  • Irregular supply of Water through canal system

  • As per Draft Delhi Master Plan 2021 published by D.D.A., the total area earmarked and would be available to the extent of 11,000 hect. for agri-horticulture, green belt, dairy etc. by the year 2021.

Infrastructure and Enhancement of Competitiveness

  • Promoting competitiveness in Agricultural Marketing, scope of privatization/ participation of Co-operative Sector has not been barred.
  • Setting-up of Kishan Haat / Farmer Marketing for Direct Marketing of produce to consumer.
  • Rationalisation of Market Fees and only 1% advalorem has been inforced in all APMCs.
  • Connecting to AGMARK-NET has strengthening market information network in collaboration with NIC and NIAM to promote professionalisation in the management of APMC’s
projects and programmes being undertaken

  • All measures are being taken to detect and check the spread of Bird Flu.
  • Treatment of Sick animals (Small and large).
  • Timely vaccination against Foot and Mouth disease and Haemorrhagic Septicemia disease.
  • Surveillance to check outbreak of infectious or parasitic disease in the animals
  • Organising Animal Husbandry Training Cum-Treatment Camps.
  • Cattle and Buffaloes inseminated with frozen semen of the pedigreed bulls to improve Breeds.
