  2. Alasan Timbulnya DSS Berbasis Dokumen : (1) Berkurangnya biaya; (2) Meningkatnya kecepatan pemrosesan; (3) Memproses jumlah data besar yang disimpan. Keberhasilan DSS Dokumen : Peningkatan teknologi penyimpanan, standar pemasukkan, penyimpanan jenis data dokumen. DSS-M5 : ARSITEKTUR DSS

  3. Teknologi CD-Interactive Media Storage : Multi-media format standar mencakup video, audio, dan grafik. Teknologi DVI-Digital Video Interactive--dikembangkan oleh Intel Co.--media penyimpan : Kombinasi antara video gerak penuh, kerangka gambar, audio, grafik, database, skema pemanggilan, dan proses interaktif.
