  4. City Charter • Chapter II “Elections,” Section 2 “Wards and Districts,” states “….shall constitute one (1) ward. The council may by ordinance establish convenient election districts….”

  5. Definitions • Precinct: • Defined boundaries • Election Commission approves MCL 168. • Polling Location: • Facility where voters vote • City Council approves MCL168.662

  15. Election Commission • Oct. 21, 2015 adopted a Resolution to establish 16 Precincts • The reduction of 5 Precincts will provide a savings of $10,485. • Reduce the Total Election Cost to $33,554.
