  1. What is queensday ? Queensday is dayespeciallyfor the queens’sbirthday. Thisday is april 30th. On thisday, Holland becomesone big party.

  2. What does the queen do herself on queensday? • Everyyear, the queenand her family go to a different town or city in Holland. Thattown or cityorganisesactivitiesfor the queenand her family. Often, the day is filledwithmusicand traditional Dutch games, like ‘zaklopen’ and ‘koekhappen’.

  3. Queensday in Arnhem The localpeople call queensday “Het Oranjefees’ (the orange party). Just like most people in Holland, peoplewearorangeclothingthatday. Everyyeararound 150000 peoplecome te Arnhem to party andto have a good time. In the morningthere is a big flee market. In the afternoonand evening there is musiceverywhere. Most of the party takes placeoutside. In the evening there are fireworks. At midnight the party endsoutside. Ifyou want to party some more, you have to go to a bar or club.

Next yearand the yearsto follow, itwillbe Kings day. We willcelebrate Kings day on the birthday of the king: 27th of april. See the pictures of this special day on the next two slides.
