  6. Matthew 20:26-28 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

  16. VII. What Does This Mean for You? • You are both a leader and follower • Three things: • Know them. • Listen to them. • Serve them.

  30. My Life’s Purpose I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ on May 18, 1973. The next day I received His call to “give my life to full-time service.” From that, I have come to realize that my life’s purpose is to bring order out of chaos wherever the Lord chooses to send me.

  31. My Life’s Purpose A verse to help define this purpose is found in Genesis 1:2: “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”

Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.

  39. XIV. Learn to be a good listener. My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires - James 1:19-20

The essence of empathetic listening is not that you agree with someone; it’s that you fully, deeply understand that person, emotionally as well as intellectually” – Stephen R.   43. XV. Conclusion • Without faith, it is impossible to please Him. • God prepares His leaders. • God tests His leaders. • God honors His leaders.
