Cotton / Generic Base Cotton base gets CTAP payments for 2014 STAX is available for all counties in MS in 2015 Cotton base becomes generic base If producers plant a program crop (wheat, soybeans, rice, corn, peanuts, etc.) then the generic base is eligible for ARC/PLC payments.

ARC/PLC • Farm-by-farm decisions • Owners: yield updates and base reallocations • Producers: • elect between ARC and PLC • ARC-CO/PLC – crop by crop • ARC-IC – whole farm • SCO can be combined with PLC, but not ARC • University tools help owners/producers evaluate options and make these decisions
Common Program Provisions • ARC/PLC, CTAP, Marketing Loan Gains & LDPs • Payment Limit: $125,000 for all crops (except peanuts which have a separate $125,000 limit) • AGI: $900,000 total AGI • Secretary is required to ask for comments on management component of Actively Engaged
NAP Buy Up • December 2014: NAP Buy Up may begin • Catastrophic: covers 50% of yield at 55% of price • Buy Up: covers up to 65% of yield at 100% of price • Premium: 5.25% of liability • Reduced for historically underserved producers
