  4. ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL • Students should arrive at 7:50 A.M. • Students that arrive after 8:20 A.M. are considered tardy. • Dismissal is at 3:15. Any changes in transportation require a parent note or email to the attendance office, not the teacher.

  11. HOMEWORK • Students are assigned math homework nightly and it is due the following day for review in class. • Reading for pleasure is important. Please ensure your child reads for about 20 minutes every day. Initial your child’s agenda each night and record the title of the book they read. • Spelling tests are on Thursdays. Words will be listed in the agenda. • Check agenda and class website for additional homework assignments, announcements, or upcoming events.

PARENT CONFERENCE DAY October 13, 2014 • Mrs. Howard and Mrs. Beal will meet with each parent at the same time. • Each conference will be about 10-15 minutes to accommodate as many parents as possible. • Please sign-up for a time before you leave tonight, if you are interested in having a conference.

  17. CALL FOR GT REFERRALS The GT referral window for K-11 is August 25th- September 26th. If you would like to refer your child for Klein’s Gifted and Talented Program, please stop by the front office and pick up a referral packet. Mrs. Speer and Mrs. Matus will be available tonight at a table in the front lobby if you wish to pick up a referral packet. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our counselor, Jennifer Matus at 832-484-6128 or our Assistant Principal, Sandra Speer at 832-484-6147. For more information you may also visit the KISD website. Click Departments>Advanced Academics>Gifted and Talented Completed referral packets must be brought back by the parent to the front office by Friday, September 26th at 3:00pm. *Please do not send the completed packet back with your child. It is reviewed by Mrs. Matus or Mrs. Speer with you upon return.
