  3. Winds play a big part in this region’s weather.When cold, dry winds from Canada mix with warm, moist winds from the Golf of Mexico, big storms can form on the plains and prairies of the Midwest. The climate in the Midwest is hot, wet summers and cold winters.BBBBBRRRRRRRR! Weather
