Asha – in a Nutshell • A Non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to socio-economic change in India mainly using the medium of education. • Highlights: • Seattle Chapter started in 1994 • Present active volunteers: ~ 30 • Annual financial commitment for 2005: ~ 350 K • 100 % of your donation goes to India

How It Works • Asha provides you means of training and some other facilities • You give your commitment to bike for Asha STP • The money you raise goes towards educating underprivileged children in India

July 9-10, 2005 Whats STP? • Seattle to Portland road trip! • 206 miles • One or Two days! • 8000+ participants • July 9th and 10th – Experience it! • http://www.cascade.org/EandR/stp/
The STP Cost Factor • $70 Registration fee! • Register before June 8 to avoid late fees • Transportation Back from Portland $45 (including bike) • Overnight stay in Centralia midpoint is of very minimal cost (yet to be announced ~ $25) • Finish line festival – Free!!
