  1. Jack Barber2014 Karting sponsorship proposal Me in the lead at Camberley Kart Club in July 2010

  2. Who am I? • Hello, my name is Jack Barber and I am a kart racing driver based near Billingshurst in West Sussex. I currently race in the Junior Max category at circuits across the south of England. My main circuit is the Forest Edge kart track which is in close proximity to Andover. I am currently driving for the RS Racing kart team who coach me, look after my kart and run it for me.

  3. My career results so far • Camberley Kart Club Honda Cadet category vice Champion 2009 and 2010. • Camberley Kart Club Honda Cadet category winter championship runner up 2009/2010 • Forest Edge Kart Club Honda cadet 5th place 2010 • Forest Edge Kart Club Junior Rotax 6th place 2013 • These results were achieved despite me being on a very limited budget!

  4. Why do I need your help? • After racing for nearly 6 years, my parents can no longer afford to fund my racing. This means I am not going to be able to race this year without outside financial support. There is no way I will be able to fund myself although I am trying extremely hard to find employment to bridge some of the gap. However, this would still only be a “drop in the ocean”. • Here are some of the main costs of karting that mean I won’t be able to go racing this year: • Entry fee: £90 for a weekend of Saturday practice and Sunday racing. • Team fee per weekend: £600+vat • New set of tyres: £140 • Hotel and food per weekend: £100

  5. What would I offer in return? As well as your company logo on my kart and racewear, I would keep you regularly updated with my progress and results via a monthly newsletter. I would also include your company name in all my press releases on my website, YouTube channel and in any newspaper articles I feature in to show your support. You would also have the opportunity to come and visit me at the track at championship rounds to experience the buzz of karting first hand.

  6. RS Racing RS Racing is the kart team that currently manages me, and runs my kart at race meetings. It is managed by John Parsons who has nearly 20 years karting experience as a driver and mechanic at club and national level. They also act as a coach to help me improve my driving and my race craft. They are one of the fastest developing businesses in the karting industry, as they have recently become the sole UK importer for Wildkart and Lotus Racing Karts, as well as being one of the biggest Gillard Racing Kart dealers in Britain. There main championships are the UK Max challenge and the European based BNL series.

  7. 2014 Plans • Whilst hoping to continue to race this year, I hope to expand my race program to include national and European championship rounds. My calendar for the season will depend on the amount of money I can raise in order to pay the bills for each round, although I am looking at doing rounds of either the BNL championship in Europe or the UK Max challenge. • Here are links to each championships website: • http://www.bnlkartingseries.com/ • http://www.themaxseries.com/

  8. Where could your logo go on my kart and me? Helmet visor sticker Front fairing Suit Nosecone Sidepods
