  2. The Induction Pack Your induction pack includes: • Key contacts – Personal Tutor meetings • Course Timetable/Induction Timetable (Welcome Talk, Induction sessions) • Complimentary bags! The induction booklet is also available online here

  3. Blackboard • The University’s virtual learning environment… • Log on to view course materials. • http://www.le.ac.uk/

  4. Postgraduate Student Module Registration • Postgraduate students will select optional modules online by Friday 12th October. • You will receive an email message about this in the 1st week of term. • A summary of the modules for each degree is available in your pack • You can also look at the PG Handbook online.

  5. Represent your course!!! COURSE REPS • Participate in running of your course • Raise issues, which are important to you • Develop skills attractive to potential employers (and an award) • Meet members of staff and other students’ studying in the Department • If you’re interested, e-mail us on economics@le.ac.uk

  6. Peer Mentors • All first year students have been allocated a Peer Mentor to help you make the most of your first few months at University. (See sticker on your pack for the name of your Peer Mentor) • Your Peer Mentor will be in touch with you to arrange a first meeting either before or after your induction sessions.

  7. Reception Opening Hours • Reception is open 9-5pm Monday-Friday during term time. • Email economics@le.ac.uk for any general queries. • Contact IT help for any issues with accessing your IT account ithelp@le.ac.ukor call 0116 252 2253

  8. Lastly; Leicester (University IT account) • If you’ve forgotten your password you can login to any computer on campus with • ‘password’ as the username • ‘password’ as the password and follow the instructions on screen to reset your password. Check your university email everyday. Good luck!
