Give & Take: Designing service infrastructures for a good senior life Motivation • Rethinking civil engagement in elderly care by retaining knowledge, expertise and abilities of older people in the workforce or among semi-retired in a Give & Take infrastructure will have positive effects on demographic ageing and economic development in society (Malmborg & Yndigegn, forthc.) • Social interaction through being involved and feeling of belonging are crucial aspects of a good (senior) life. (Malmborg 2012, Kierkegaard 1843) • Living Labs as open platforms for social and technological innovation. (Binder et al 2011) Idea • Designing a service infrastructure facilitating the reciprocal exchange of ‘favors’ in local communities. • How should the underlying technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, ‘payment’, and interaction devices be designed?
