  1. How Organic Farming Serves As A Healthy Alternative? Organic farming is a mixture of the traditional method and the scientific method of farming. Agriculture is the process of growing plants, raising animals, and other livestock for human welfare. Earlier, people used to travel in groups. So, to survive, they hunted wild animals and also gathered their food from plants. But, with the increase in the human population, the need for food also grew. 

  2. Why organic farming For thousands of years, people used to practice agriculture using traditional methods and without the use of any artificial facilities. But with scientific development, a modern way was discovered for farming. This method follows a scientific approach. It uses synthetic methods of farming including the use of machines, the latest technologies, chemicals, pesticides, etc. This method of agriculture is known as scientific farming or scientific agriculture. 

  3. Why organic farming Organic farming system of agriculture started in the 20th century, and today, as per some records it has reached over 70 million hectares globally. Scientific farming deteriorated the soil quality in the long-run, caused pollution, and also harmed the quality of food. Therefore, the market for organic food has increased in recent times.  To increase the knowledge about organic farming, many boarding schools in India that provide information about new farming techniques. It also helps in increasing students’ interest in agriculture and helps them to know about eco-friendly farming techniques.

  4. Why organic farming Organic farming is much healthier than other farming methods as it is good for the soil as well as the product. The microorganisms and creatures like earthworms help in the growth of the quality of the soil. There is no involvement of any chemicals, and therefore, there is no harm caused to the final product. The main ways through which organic farming is carried out are crop rotation, compost, biological pest control measures, mechanical cultivation, and other green measures. 

  5. Advantages of organic farming It is proved that there is more amount of nutrients present in organic produce compared to others. The use of livestock in organic farming increases the number of fatty acids present in its products which is beneficial for our health. For example – Omega-3 is present in organic meats, dairy, and eggs in a more significant amount than compared to the ones artificially grown. Organic fruits and vegetables consist of a meagre number of toxic elements because there is no involvement of chemicals during farming. Organic farming is eco-friendly and has several benefits to nature, while scientific farming causes pollution and also harms the environment.
