  3. Oct. 17thAili was working at the art table. She was tracing a heart-shaped stencil around the inside edge. She was able to follow the edge most of the way around. Once she was done tracing the stencil, she began to cut out the shape. She held the scissors in a standard grasp. She followed near the line. The cutting was somewhat jagged. Finally she colored the heart. She used a standard pencil grip and used controlled movements.

  5. Do you need to log anecdotal records daily? • No, but . . . • What does your director want you to do?

  6. How many anecdotal notes should we have for an accurate read for progress report? • Several observations needed to show growth and mastery. • Some anecdotal notes will address more than one objective if written with detail. • Checklists will also provide data for assessment. • As many as your program director requires.

  7. Entering Information • Enter anecdotal notes while fresh in your mind • Choose objective (s) • Preliminary Leveling • Although not required at this point----huge time saver.

  8. Points to Remember • Teaching Strategies Gold is a continuum that covers birth through kindergarten. • The purple band represents kindergarten. • Putting in time now to learn the TSG objectives and how to navigate the online tool will save you time in the long term. It will also be most beneficial for the children you teach.
