Proposed Policy Changes of Appendix F(continued) • Add language to include a Co-Chair • Broaden the definition of Professional Development in §100: PURPOSE Professional development encompasses formal and informal learning opportunities and resources, and benefits employees through the acquisition of knowledege, skills, and abilities related to their field of employment for individual improvement and career advancement.
Proposed Policy Changes of Appendix F(continued) • Specify Work Group consists of both ACES and Non-ACES members • Expanding the use of Professional Development funding to include all forms of Professional Development except: • Electronic devices and equipment • Items more appropriately purchased by the department • Training, materials, or equipment that is required for an employee to perform their job duties • Permit purchases of software. • Software cannot be installed or used on a College computer, and not installed or maintained by IT staff
