The picture quality offered by DVDs is supposed to be three times better than the traditional VHS pictures. Moreover, the pictures stored in DVDs will not exhaust with age or use. Computer programs will also work better with DVDs. With the convenience that DVDs provide, by merging several CDs into a single DVD. Video games are also enjoyed to the best of their ability with the DVD technology. As DVDs offer the feature of high memory and other possibilities too, videos can be merged to improve the playing experience all the way more. Developing the ability to store data through DVD production has gained a lot of importance in all these years. The first true data storage even before DVD production were journals and ledgers. While they are still used today, they are slow, inefficient, and bulky. The early computerized storage mediums comprised of things such as punch cards, vinyl LPs, magnetic tape, cartridges, and magnetic disks. As computers improved, so did the data storage and retrieval capacities, which led to DVD production. The idea of DVD production commenced with Sony’s introduction to CD in the early 1980s. The first ever CD players were introduced in the year 1983. They attracted mass attention because it was possible through them to store more than 75 minutes of music on one single drive. While the acceptance of DVD was slow, it gradually replaced vinyl records as the preferred choice for audio releases.
