  2. The general idea • Leader or committee chair enters trips online • Committee chair reviews and approves the trip • Leadership or activities provides final approval • AMC publishes trips in Outdoors and Web

  3. Life of a Day Hike • Leader enters trip • Hiking chairperson approves trip • Leadership chairperson approves trip • Joy St. editors approve trip • Trip is sent to Outdoors magazine • Trip is posted on Web • Trip is made available to Newsletters • Trip is archived

  4. When a trip is approved • Joy St. promises a one-day approval of trips • Trips are posted on Web for all to see www.trips.outdoors.org • Link to this URL from the AMC Worcester Web site • Enter trips, approve, and advertise in a just a few days • Can reuse trips from archive

  5. Committee chairs enter their own trip leaders • If you want a leader to use the program to enter trips, you must add the leader. • Enter leader’s name, e-mail, and phone • Can sign up leader for more than one activity (hiking and biking, for example)

  6. Translation Leader = Contributor Committee Chair = Reviewer Leadership Chair = Approver Activities = Approver

  9. Update your information

  10. Edit your account, and then click Update

  11. Click “Add new Contributor”

  12. Fill out info on new leader

  13. Click “Add new user”

  14. A leader signs on to trip listings

  15. Leader can update information

  16. Leader enters trip in database

  23. II. Click Edit to make changes to the trip

  28. Schedule for May Outdoors Publication Feb 25 – March 1 • Committee chairs enter leaders who plan to lead activities for May, 2005. March 1-8 • Leaders enter hiking, paddling, biking trips for May March 8 –13 • Committee chairs and approvers approve trips

  29. Committee Chair Responsibilities • Enter your leaders in the database • Type their name, e-mail, and easy to remember password • Send leaders an e-mail with URL: http://trips.outdoors.org/index.cfm/method/trips.showlogin • Leaders login with e-mail address and password and enter trips!

Approver Responsibilities • Deb Herlihy – Leadership Chair • Approves hiking, biking, skiing, paddling, climbing, mountaineering trips • Can add reviewers • Freida Coursen – Activities • Approves programs, social, family activities, conservation, trail work • Can add reviewers • Jack Downing – Webmaster • Adds reviewers and approvers • Posts links on Worcester AMC Web site to trip listings on at trips.outdoors.org
