  3. What is Strategic Sourcing? Strategic sourcing is the collaborative and structured process of critically analyzing an organization’s spending and using this information to make better business decisions about acquiring commodities. Background 3

Indications are that the agency will benefit from strategic sourcing and save money over time through volume discounts and reduction of the administrative burden associated with multiple contracts. 15
