Modelling fair and equitable collaborations - Funded by The City Bridge Trust
  • The modelling fair and equitable collaborations meets the ‘Bridging Communities’ theme of the City Bridge Trust. The 2 year project will support and encourage BME and mainstream VCOs in London to build collaborations and partnerships on the principles of fairness and equality, resulting in cohesive and rationalised services to local communities. The project will develop resources and provide support to encourage a shared understanding in the sector on how collaborations and partnerships should be developed, implemented and sustained. The project will indirectly benefit hundreds of BME and mainstream VCOs in London who will have access to project resources and who will be able to shape project outputs.

  • Activities will include desk based research, 4 expert interviews and 5 focus groups resulting in a scoping report outlining key barriers to collaborations and partnerships between BME and mainstream VCOs in London. 5 good practice case studies will be produced to share with key stakeholders. A document on guiding principles and a framework for fair and equitable collaborations and partnerships will be drafted and available for consultation in the sector, online and through 2 events. This feedback will then feed into a final principles document which will be widely disseminated in the sector. The last phase of the project will include the development of a training package, delivering 4 training sessions and one-to-one support to 40 BME and mainstream VCOs.
  • This project fits into V4CE’s wider aim to strengthen the BME VCS to meet the needs of BME communities and more specifically into their “develop” work; to improve the capacity and quality of BME VCOs by strengthening their ability to deliver better and sustainable joined-up and cohesive services to local communities.
