About AWMI The Association of Women in the Metal Industries • Is an organization of professionals, founded in California in 1981, to promote and develop the growth of women in the metal industries. • We are a 501(c) tax-exempt, non-profit business league • Membership is open to both women and men who are seeking to develop all aspects of their professional development and career advancement. • AWMI’s chapter, regional and international boards are entirely volunteer run. Mission Statement - AWMI is an international, professional organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the advancement of women in the metal industries.   9. AWMI Cornerstones "InfoSight has supported AWMI since 2001, shortly after the Columbus chapter was formed, and has been a corporate member since 2008. We have benefited directly through the growth and development of several key employees who have served as officers and board members, as well as through excellent networking opportunities with senior executives in the global metals industry.
