  3. Oregon AMS Mission Statement“The purpose of this society shall be to advance professional ideals in the science of meteorology and to promote the development, exchange and application of meteorological knowledge.”

  4. AMS Election NoticeIf you have an Oregon AMS election ballot in your hand right now, please stand up and drop it off with AMS Secretary Mark Nelsen immediately. If you are an Oregon AMS member who has allowed your dues to lapse, you can renew your dues right now with AMS Treasurer John Rinier for just $7 (cash or check) and you will immediately receive a ballot for today’s election from Mark. You must fill your ballot out immediately, sign it and hand it back to Mark. Candidate statements are available from Mark, upon request. If Mark did not send you a ballot via e-mail last month, please go see John Rinier about your dues first. You can still vote at this mornings meeting, per our by-laws. New members who sign up today can NOT vote until next year.

  5. Oregon AMS UpdatesOregon AMS yearly membership dues are only $7 per year! Please see John Rinier (AMS Treasurer) to renew you dues or to join today. We are continually seeking new members. The Oregon AMS is now the single largest AMS chapter in the country with 165 currently paid members. We host 8 monthly meetings per year along with the annual “Winter Weather Forecast Conference” now in it’s 20th year and a great summer picnic.We are on Twitter @OregonAMS and we are also on Facebook at: facebook.com/oregonams.
