Our shot is certified to meet SAE J441, AMS 2431/3 and AMS 2431/4. Our shot is available in conditioned form (spherical) & As- Cut form (cylindrical). It gives you extra white finish, and dust accumulation will be NIL. Life will be approx 8- 10 times higher life than Steel Shots/Grits and 4-5 times higher life than Steel Cut Wire Shots. It is made from carbon steel wire of selected diameter and tensile strength by means of special cutting machines and a following conditioning by means of special shot blasting machines. The shot is manufactured by pouring a molten mixture of premium grade steel scrap and select alloys through a series of water jets. On contact with the water, the molten metal is atomized, forming round particles in a controlled range of sizes. These particles then fall into a water tank, are then dried, screened by size, quenched and tempered in a unique heat-treating process. A process that assures ultimate control over the microstructure and hardness of the product, prior to a final screening.
