Cardiac Morphology, Gene Expression and Histology (Core D) • Description of Core Unit: • Generate staged mouse and Xenopus embryo RNA samples. • Generate paraffin and OCT embedded tissues and embryos. • Share expertise in and perform some whole mount and section in situ hybridizations. • Perform IHC and histology on tissue and embryo sections.

  2. Core D Progress Report I • Successful use of RT-PCR for Xenopus Mo2L (Carrie Dasconio). • Performing in situ hybridizations (ISH; mouse and Xenopus; Projects 4 & 5, Ning Dai and Carrie Dasconio) including Mo2L and mouse Ehmt1 (Project 4).
