  3. (famous people affected, court decision/ jail, anyone that has happened to) Casey Anthony’s Case • On July 5, 2011, the jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter, and aggravated child abuse. She was found guilty on four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer. • She was found not guilty because she was on drugs. • Perry sentenced Casey Anthony to one year in the county jail and $1,000 in fines for each of the four counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.

  4. Statistics • Almost 90% of the conflicts in a academic environment caused by professors go unreported. (Daniel R. Levinson- head of the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services ) • The typical manager spends 25-40% of his or her time with workplace conflicts. That’s one to two days of every work week. • 78% of respondents indicated that they believe some, most, or all employers engage in discrimination in hiring or promotion, and 51% stated that all or most employers engage in discriminatory practices • More than 50% of employers report having been sued by an employee. 6. Our Views • I think if people were to use conflict resolution effectively, it will influence the outcome of the number of cases of violence (such as bullying, domestic abuse, etc.) because it would be more likely that people would have to deal with the consequences instead of getting away.
