  2. The Todds And Friends • The Todd family is moving from Arkansas to Oregon in a wagon train. • Mary Ellen the narrator is the oldest of the four Todd children. Louvina comes next. Then you have Cynthia. The youngest and only boy of the Todd family is Elijah. • Mr .Todd is the father and the man who created the idea of going to Oregon. • Mrs.Todd is reluctant to go along like Mary Ellen. Mr.Todd insist upon it though. • They bring along a farm hand to help with cattle and horses, his name is John. The Todd family has a long time ahead of them. Indians have been known to take cattle children and your women…

  3. The Danger0us Path • The Todd wagon train will face many problems and dangers along the way. The Todds move from 3 wagon trains but kepp on moving to make the journey to Oregon. They build a corduroy bridge to pass one of the rushing waters. Another wagon train tries to beat the Todd wagon train across the corduroy bridge. The other wagon lost and the Todds were relieved because it took their small wagon train half of a day to cross. The only regret the Todds have is that they don’t know if Oregon will fulfill their dreams…

  4. Indian trouble! • The todd family face 4 Indian encounters on the grueling journey to Oregon. They are stopped by Indians who think they bring trouble from other lands. The Todd family and their wagon train passed through the Indian territory with no trouble. The next encounter Mary Ellen was riding with her friend Sarah Jane when Indians came up stared at their cattle like they were interested in it. Mary Ellen was hoping and praying that her father would turn around and see the Indians and he did. The
