COLORECAL DISEASE. Colorectal cancer is a disease that effects the colon and rectum, which can be found in the ones digestive system. The cancer can start in either the large intestine, small intestine, near the appendix or right lower abdomen.

  2. Colorectal cancer is a disease that effects the colon and rectum, which can be found in the ones digestive system. The cancer can start in either the large intestine, small intestine, near the appendix or right lower abdomen.

RISK FACTORS • High fat diets in particular diets high in saturated fats. • Obesity can increase the risk of the cancer. • Research has shown that eating meat that has been charred or burnt will increase the risk of cancer also. • The expert recommend intake of red meat is around 90grams • Family history it might go through the family • Gender is one too, females are more likely to be at risk and males are more likely to get rectal disease. • Age chances are increasing for those 50 years and older.

  5. PROTECTIVE FACTORS • Those who consume vegetables and legumes, which provides physiochemical called antioxidants along with a range of vitamins, including vitamins E and C are less at risk in comparison to those who have a high saturated diet. • High rich diets of fibre will decrease your chance of contracting colorectal disease. • 
