2. 甚麼是文化管理? • 文化管理是一門相對嶄新的學科，探究在現代都市生活與消費中, 文化兼具商品與服務的角色，如何透過有效的管理，更能發揮文化的意義和價值，提升人們的生活及有利政府的施政。

4. 文化管理為甚麼重要? • 隨著文化在全球的發展，以及文化對經濟及政策的影響，國際社會均關注到創意及知識型經濟，在二十一世紀有賴文化及創意產業作為發展及增長的動力。過去十年，世界各地紛紛發展各類型的文化基建，如文化設施、場地等硬件，其中包括香港正籌建中的西九文化區。因此，我們亟需培育新一代文化“軟件”，為管理各類文化項目及計劃培訓人力及專才。

5. 文化管理要培養怎樣的學生? • 文化管理文學士課程旨在孕育及培訓新一代文化領袖與調和者，他們能擔任社會的先鋒去詮釋、界定、溝通以及捍衞不同的文化。本課程的畢業生應兼備欣賞與尊重不同文化的胸襟及識見，並能以國際視野推動本地的文化及發展。

6. 課程目標 • 提供跨學科學習（人文藝術及工商管理兩個領域的科目） • 訓練學生成為文化及人文藝術領袖 • 培訓學生擁有廣泛的專業知識，使他們能夠在博物館、美術館、劇院及音樂廳等藝術場所擔任行政和管理職位 • 栽培學生具備國際視野，掌握新領域文化研究及發展的基礎知識 • 培育學生對文化及人文藝術的批判和欣賞能力，並瞭解香港及內地的文化歷史及遺產 • 協助學生面對香港及內地文化發展的重大挑戰，使他們將來能參與制定文化及發展政策

7. 課程結構 • 一般修業期為4年 • 實習(第3年暑假或第4年其中一個學期) • 學生需修讀123學分，其中72分為主修學分，51分為其他學分 • 4個學習範圍 Ｉ：General Studies in Culture 文化學科通論(第1年，共2學期) II: Art Forms / Disciplines Studies 藝術形式/學科研習 (第2年及第3年，共3學期) III:Management Studies and Cultural Management 管理學科及文化管理(第3年及第4年，共3學期) IV: Concentrations / Special Studies in Cultural Management 文化管理專修(第3年及第4年) • Cultural Heritage, Conservation and Cultural Tourism 文化遺產、保育及文化旅遊 • Cultural Venues: Museums, Galleries and Performing Arts Centres 文化場地：博物館、展覽及表演藝術中心 • Cultural Activities: Events, Festivals and Programming 文化活動：文化項目、節慶及節目策劃 • Cultural and Creative Industries 文化及創意産業
