  3. Galileo - provided free of charge by the state department, available at school and at home with a password. I update passwords by e-mail when they are changed.World Book OnlineOnline encyclopedia subscription purchased for our school. Available at school - User name = cfescougars, password = cougars; and at home - User name = cfeshome, password = cougars

  4. Library Pro • Connect to 06-07 Data Folder • Click on desktop so that “Finder” shows by the apple • Click on “Go”, pull down to “Connect to Server” • Select 10.6.0.28 • Click “Connect” • You should see the icon for the 06-07 Data Folder, which is Library Pro, appear on your desktop

Click on the hard drive icon on your desktop • Choose “Applications” • Look for Library Pro Explorer • Open folder • Drag book icon to toolbar so you can open it conveniently • If book disappears from toolbar in the future, just go in and drag it down again. • Sign yourself in as “teacher”, “teacher

  6. Seach for resources • If you know the title of a resource you want to find, search by title • If you aren’t sure of title, “Keyword” search finds anything that is indexed. Summaries of video tapes hold the titles of videos like Reading Rainbow that have multiple titles on the same tape, so use “keyword” to search for those. • E-mail me or leave a note if you can’t get by when I am here, I will be happy to pull resources for you.

  7. Please don’t say “I didn’t want to bother you….” this is my JOB! You are supposed to “bother” me so you can make good use of the resources we have! :)

  8. InterLibrary Loan • My “sisters” are more than willing to let us borrow resources from them. If there is something you used at another school and we don’t have it, let me know. I will be happy to pick it up for you or arrange for it to get here somehow. • Things that we use this way will be placed in our consideration file for future purchase.

  9. Galileo • Free resource paid for by the GA DOE • Available at school, and at home • Galileo for Kids • Kids InfoBits slideshow (available on the teacher server)
