  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBPOINT EXTRAVAGANZA NOTE CARDS • Subpoint: • Click on the outline for the box underneath “Subpoint #,” and type in your subpoint sentence. • Textual Evidence: • Read your articles to find evidence to prove the subpoint listed at the top of the note card. • Click on the outline for the “Textual Evidence Box” to select the box. • Type in (or copy and paste) relevant evidence. • If your evidence seems to not appear, it is likely because your text defaulted to the color white. Just do your best to highlight your text, and change the color to black. • Be sure to follow the instructions in the yellow box before moving on! • BOTH Gray Boxes: • Once you find your evidence you should fill in BOTH gray boxes on the note card with the author(s) or article title in quote marks (if there’s no author in the Works Cited entry for the article). • Click next to the colon inside the gray box, hit the space bar, and type in the necessary info. • Paraphrase: • Click on the box’s outline, and then type your paraphrase for your textual evidence! • (Note: You will never see a blinking cursor inside any box you want to type in—just start typing.) • You must have a total minimum of 6 note cards in the end. The minimum for any one subpoint is 2 note cards, and the maximum is 3 note cards, within that 6. No matter what, be sure they add up to 6, and each subpoint has more than one note card!
