  1. Daily Announcements Today is Friday, May 16, 2014a “Y” day.

  2. All Students Must report to their 1st block class on days that they are SOL testing to take attendance. Do not go directly to your testing room. You will be dismissed at 7:45 for your test if it is 1st block.

  3. DVD’s of Graduation 2014are on sale now! SAVE, PRE-ORDER for $20! BUY THEM AT OR AFTER GRADUATION & PAY $25.00. See Mrs. Stone in RmS109B.

  4. All Seniors Accepted and Attending the University of Virginia or the University of Mary Washington see Ms. Tobin, in the counseling office for a Scholarship Opportunity

  5. Attention: Drivers Remember if you have 3un-excused tardy situations, your parking pass will be pulled for 1 week & you will receive a detention.  If you are tardy a fourth time, your parking pass is revoked for the rest of the semester. We still have a waiting list of 40 students who want passes.

  8. Congratulations to theRobotics Team! They finished 2nd place Saturday at the Battle of the 'Burg at James Monroe High School. SHS teamed up with Colonial Forge and Locust Grove to form the 2nd place finishing alliance. SHS was also voted the Gracious Professionalism Award. Way to go robotics!

  9. In Memory of David Pearson Two years ago, David Pearson, a former Stafford student passed away due to brain cancer. In his memory, please wear a Hawaiian shirt or grey shirt on Friday, May 16th.

  11. Video Media Tech 2 & 3 Classes are one class block next year, not two. See your counselor if you need a schedule change.

  13. Attention Seniors:  SHS Class of 2014 Graduation Yard Signs will be available for presale every morning starting Wed. May 14 at 7:00 a.m. to 7:30am in the front lobby for $12.00.  You may pre-order online as well, just click on the graduation sign on  school fusion and follow instructions.  Sales will end on May 27, 2014. Don't Miss this Deal!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Attention seniors! The Senior Class Officers need pictures for the Senior Dinner Dance. Any pictures involving the class of 2014 would be greatly appreciated. Please send your submissions by May 20th to seniordinnerdance2014@gmail.com or send them to the Twitter account, @SRdinnerdance14.

  15. Senior Immunization Record If you are a current student and need a copy of your Immunization record for college, a job, or parent records, please request them from the Nurse’s office. There is a 24-hour turnaround time for the request. NOTE: The Nurse’s staff is not on duty for the summer and the record may not be readily available

  17. The Boys Basketball Team is having open gyms on Tuesday afternoons. These are open to anyone that would like to come out and play and will run from 2:30 until 4:45 every Tuesday.

Congratulations to Girls Lacrosse on their victory against North Stafford last night 15-10.Sydney Ostrumhad 5 goals, Haley-anne Parish had 4 goals and 3 assists,  Caitlyn Godseyand Hanna Olsson added two each, Rachel Riley and Callie Quinn added 1 each.  The girls head to North Stafford on Wed. for their last regular season game.  Great job ladies!

  19. The JV Girls Soccer beat Hylton with a 2-0 victory. Goalie Michelle Daneksecured a shutout in her first full game in net, while Stacey Skilesand Danielle Laabwere both able to put the ball in the back of the net.  Staunch defensive play by Amanda Hanrahan, Megan Lynch, Katherine Perry and Raelyn Fines.  The girls remain undefeated in the last 4 games.  Tremendous effort ladies

  20. Girls Soccer Our Girls Soccer beat Massaponax 2-1 last night behind goals from Alyssa Kniffin and Gabi Hull. A strong defensive effort was put in by Nia Fountain, Maggie Bellinger, JoriSheats, and keeper Sophia Camp. Stafford plays home Thursday night – come out and support the girls!

  22. Attention Sophomores and Juniors Do you want to make a difference at SHS?  What to have fun?  Want to gain some leadership skills? Then join Link Crew. Pick up an application in the main office.  Applications are due back by May 30. (For current Sophomores & Juniors, ONLY) Sorry no Freshman!

  24. Additional Saturday School SHS will have an additional Saturday school this Sat. May 17. No formal letters will be given to students.  Students who wish to recover time should come to the main office and pick up a form.   We will still have a Saturday school on June 7.
