Welcome to Mrs. Ortt’s 6th grade Reading and Language Arts class! Our students, aged 11-13, come from diverse backgrounds and many have 2-4 siblings. We attend school Monday to Friday and observe Sunday as a day of rest, typically attending religious services. Located in Salisbury, MD, just 40 miles from Ocean City, we enjoy local seafood, especially Maryland blue crabs, and are involved in farming. For fun, we visit the Ocean City boardwalk, roller skate, fish, spend time at the mall, and go to the movies. We’re excited to learn and share!

Information about us: • Age range from 11-13 years old • We represent many different races • Many of us have between 2-4 siblings • We go to school Monday – Friday • Sunday is considered “ a day of rest,” and we typically attend religious services on this day.
Where we live: • We live in Salisbury, MD which is on the Eastern shore of Maryland. • We are about 40 miles from a beach called Ocean City. • We are known for our seafood, especially Maryland blue crabs. • Farming is big in our town. • We live near the Chesapeake Bay.
What we do for fun: • We go to the boardwalk in Ocean City where we can play games and go on rides. • We go roller skating. • We like to fish. • We hang out at the mall. • We go to the movie theater.
