  2. The pneumatic tools normally used for heavy equipment extrications are the percussive type tools, such as the rivet hammer, and the rotary-type tools including pneumatic impact wrench and the die cut-off saw.

  3. WORKING PRINCIPLE OF PNEUMATIC TOOLS Pneumatic tools are air powered. This means that behind the pneumatic tool, an air compressor is connected at the end of the air hose. • When air is compressed, the compressor sucks air & forces it into its tank. • Now gas tries to escape as air hose is plugged into the compressor. • The air keeps travelling through the hose into the air tool, spinning turbines or pushing pistons until it can escape.
