  3. What we learned? • Who is our audience? • Will we use numerical grades? • How will literacy be represented? • Can we do trimester grading? • How can we make it work for DMS?

  4. The Work Done So Far • We formed a committee to research and to start creating a template. • A template was created and revised. • The template was presented to the SIP Team, PTO, and School Council for their input. • Presented the template to the staff for feedback

  5. PTO / School Council Feedback • Liked that we are making it work for our community • Liked the grading by trimester • Liked standards grading at each marking period, not just the end of the year • Would like rubrics to better explain work habits and literacy

  6. Essential Question How can we get our grades to be more… • Consistent? • Accurate? • Meaningful? • Supportive of Learning?
