  3. Affirmative I´m in school. I´m a student. She´s at the park. She is with her brother Tom. We are all in this idiomatic preparation. Negative He isn´t here, he is at the hospital. They aren´t too short. They are 1.61 cms. tall. Interrogative Is he the new doctor? Yes, he is. No, he isn´t. Are you all on duty? Yes, we are. No, we aren´t. Am I really ready for the English test? Of course I am.

  18. Present perfect tense. Sintaxis. I, You, We, They + have + verb in past participle. He, She, It +has + verb in past participle.

  19. AFFIRMATIVE I, You, We, They + have + past participle . You have finished the exam since 10 a.m. He, She, It +has+ past participle. The speaker hasjuststarted his speech. It (the speech) has just started.

  20. NEGATIVE I, You, We, They + have + not (haven´t) + past participle . We haven´t studied the present perfect yet. She, he, it +has+not (hasn´t)+ past participle. She hasn´t gone to school yet.

  21. INTERROGATIVE Have +I, you, we, they + past participle . Haveyoualreadyfinished the test? Yes, I have. No, I haven´t. Has Betty gone to the hospital? Yes, she has. No, she hasn´t.

Have you beenhelping her ? Yes, I have. No, I haven´t. Have they been repairingthe TV? Yes, they have./ No, they haven´t.

  26. .Past perfect Sintaxis. I, You, We, They, I, He, She, It + had + verb in past participle.

  27. Affirmative I had been there before the teacher arrived. She had arrived whenthe musician came. We did the exercise afterthe professor had suggested it. You had been doctors since 2000. You had been doctors for 19 years. Negative He hadn´t done that work before the boss ordered him. They hadn´t been in the city center. Interrogative Had he been here? Yes, he had. No, he hadn´t. Had you helped herbefore the test? Yes, I had. No, I hadn´t.

  28. Usamos el pastperfect para referirnos a una acción o evento en el pasado que sucedió antes de otra acción también en el pasado. - When I arrived my mother had already started cooking.(Cuandollegué mi madreyahabíaempezado a cocinar) - My mother had already started cooking when I arrived. (Mi madre ya había empezado a cocinar cuando yo llegué.)

  29. Past perfect + justCuando nos queremos referir a un tiempo corto anterior al de una acción o evento en un momento del pasado utlizamos 'just'.ejemplo: • The train had just left when we arrived at the station. (el tren había acabado de salir cuando nosotros llegamos a la estación)

  30. AfterPodemos usar after para indicar una o más secuencias de acciones: ejemplo:After she had made the coffee my father came. (Después de que ella había hecho el café mi padre vino.)

  31. Pluscuamperfecto continuo (Past perfect continuos) • sintaxis: sujeto + had been+ verbo + ING

  32. Affirmative I had been making, you had been making, she had been making... Negative I had not making, You had not making, She had not making... Interrogative Had I been making it wrong? Had you been making…? Had she been making…? Negative interrogative Had not you been making?/ Hadn´t you… Formas cortas I'd, you'd, he'd... been makingI hadn't been making

  33. Al igual que el past perfect, usamos el past perfect continuos para referirnos a una acción o evento en el pasado que sucedió antes de otra acción también en el pasado pero con una idea de continuidad. We had been waiting for hours when the train finallyarrived. (Estuvimos esperando durante horas cuando el tren finalmente llegó.)I had been smoking all evening. ( Había estado fumando toda la noche.)
