  • What makes a teacher successful?

    • A passion of teaching your subject matter to young learners, but also a passion to improve yourself. You have to be a continuous learner, you cannot stay stagnant once you receive your teaching position. Flexibility is key, each day throws you a curve ball, you have to just adapt without a blink of an eye.

  • 2. How have your attitudes towards learners changed since your first year of teaching?

    • My first year I learned so much about creating adaptations and differentiating my lesson plans. I knew they needed to made and worked closely with my school’s guidance counselor and special education teachers to make sure I knew every student and every need. I still make that a priority when creating lessons. I have a lot of choices within my lessons, but I still chunk the steps in the lesson so every learner is not overwhelmed and needs are met.
