  1. THE NEED FOR AUTO INSURANCE Life on road is always uncertain

  2. 01 02 03 04 A brief description of the topic Auto Insurance What Happens If You Don’t Have Auto Insurance? The Need For Auto Insurance Summarising the topic with suitable examples Conclusion Compliments Thanks and Regards

  3. INTRODUCTION Auto insurance is a contract between you and the insurance company that protects you against financial loss in the event of an accident or theft. In exchange for you paying a premium, the insurance company agrees to pay your losses as outlined in your policy.

  4. 01 Auto Insurance There are rules to prevent drivers from operating a vehicle without insurance. The Motor Vehicles Registry will not issue license plates for your vehicle until you can prove that you have valid insurance on it. If you purchase a new vehicle, you can transfer your plates to the new vehicle, but you will require a new insurance policy for it

  5. 02 The Need For Auto Insurance It’s illegal to drive on any public road in Canada if you do not have auto insurance for your vehicle. Other than that, there are few more reasons.

  6. ● Payment of Fine Driving a vehicle that is not insured will net you a fine of no less than $2,500 for the first offence, and if you are charged a second time within one year, you will receive a mandatory jail sentence of at least 30 days and possibly up to six months.

  7. ● Paying For Damages If the accident is your fault and you have no insurance, you are personally responsible for damages to the people in the other car and their property. A “fender bender” or rear-end collision can cost you up to $10,000, depending on the extent of the damages. And this is in addition to the cost of repairing or replacing your own vehicle.

  8. You May Even Have To Pay For Damages to the vehicle you hit Paying for medical expenses If you or the other party have sustained injuries you will have to pay off those medical expenses If you’re tempted to leave the scene of an accident, known as a “hit and run”, you could be charged under the criminal code, which means jail time

  9. ● Lawsuits If you cause an accident as an uninsured driver, there’s a good chance you’re going to get sued. Either by the other driver, or their insurance company, or both. Someone has to pay for the physical damage and injuries sustained. Since you don’t have auto insurance, all of those expenses become your responsibility. Including hiring your own lawyer, which is a huge expense!

  10. ● Higher Insurance Costs Everyone knows that driving without insurance is illegal. Many drivers continue to hit the road without the mandatory insurance coverage. But those drivers aren’t just taking a risk of getting a fine. They’ll lose a lot more if they get in an accident. They could face huge lawsuits, and even jail time in hit and run cases. Further, they are going to make getting car insurance in the future a lot more expensive for themselves

  11. Type Of Auto Insurance Third-Party Liability Reimburse the damage to somebody's property or injuries caused to someone and deal with legal responsibilities Accident benefits Income replacement, payment for medical treatments, and funeral expenses Uninsured motorist coverage To cover expenses when you hit an uninsured motorist. Collision Reimbursement for damages caused to your car as a result of a collision with another

  12. Save your Car Save Yourself And Save Your Family

  13. 03 Conclusion It is your responsibility as a driver to ensure you have the coverage you need on the road. If you have questions about car insurance, getting the advice of a licensed professional is always a good idea.
