    3. Introduction: What We Want To Do Protect/help animals affected by disasters Shelter animals who have lost theirs homes due to Incident or Emergency Care for lost/abandoned animals after a disaster/emergency

    4. What we are NOT Animal Control officers Animal Rescue (property code) Due to Conditions Law Enforcement

    5. Introduction: What We Need Veterinarians Veterinary Technicians Animal Control Officers Groomers Trainers People interested in helping animals

    6. Introduction: Team Roles Necessary Roles (Present): Team Leader Deputy Team Leader Expansion Safety Officer Administration Public Outreach Animal Rescue Shelter Operators

    7. Expectations: Regularly Attend general membership meetings Normally every other month Complete all required training in a timely fashion Keep all certifications up to date Attend trainings offered by P.E.A.R.T. Provide assistance when team activates

    8. Expectations: In an Emergency / Event Respond in a timely manor when notified of team activation Give as much time as possible to help the team

    9. Requirements: Prior to Joining Veterinarians should have updated copies of their licensing Experience working with animals

    10. Requirements: Training IS 100-Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS) IS 700-National Incident Management Systems (NIMS), An Introduction Pet First Aid UAlbany Emergency Animal Sheltering UAlbany County Animal Response Team Any other trainings offered by Team Leader

    11. Response Plan: Introduction PEART’s response plan Outlines the main duties of the PEART Lists all participating agencies Outlines general operation and response activities in an emergency

    12. Response Plan: Importance Organization Safety of the animals Safety of yourself Safety of those around you
