Experience (1) • Construction Services Technician (Intern), Summer 2012 & 2013 • Terracon Consultants, Construction Materials Testing Department • Collected data and performed soil tests on foundations • Performed static load tests at the Marine Air Base in Beaufort, SC • Assisted with concrete pours and uniformity tests at the Air Force Base in Charleston • Collected data on and performed concrete lab tests • Oversaw and took grout samples at the St. Stephen Fishery • Oversaw the pulling of piles at the Charleston Naval Port • Oversaw pile driving at the Wind Turbine Drivetrain Testing Facility in Charleston • Assisted Geotechnical Engineers with the sorting of soil and rock data • Collected data and performed asphalt subgrade tests for possible road reconstruction • Assisted engineers with surveying different construction sites • Performed gradation testing, proctors, and other lab testing on concrete and soil • Oversaw tension cable strength tests • Oversaw the placement of earthquake drains
