  3. Redundancy Emotions • Shock and grief? • Relief? • Anger and indignation? Perceptions • No emotional value in redundancy…..it is how YOU react to it that counts.

  4. Discontent Niggling feelings • Disappointment • “Is this all there is?” • Resignation – • “Putting up with the work, the people, the company.” • Incongruence • “It’s just not who I am” • Diminishing • “They treat me like dirt”

  5. Time for a change Moving away from something • Unhappy • Feeling overwhelmed • Feeling bullied or otherwise uncomfortable Moving towards something • Great idea • Money making venture • Seeking fulfillment

  6. So much more to offer • Being overlooked • Not in the right job….although might be in the right organisation • Not getting a chance to show what you can do = FRUSTRATION

  11. Self marketing • Transferable skills = Self belief • What can you really offer them? Be honest with yourself because then you can be honest with them. • Strong powerful resume that makes you stand out. • What you have achieved • Action or achievement oriented • Professional looking

  13. Retire or Reinvent • At what age do you want to retire? • What do you want to have achieved by then? • What does retirement mean to you? • Do you actually want to “retire” or “reinvent”?

A New Life Stage Baby Boomers have always done things differently! • Previous generations – Stop work, Travel, What next? • Want retirement to provide fulfillment, satisfaction, the chance to “do your own thing”……but what is that? • Plan NOW for a fulfilling retirement. Start working towards it. Make it a seamless transition. • Need to have Passion, a Purpose and a Plan.
