As a bartender you: *Mix drinks of the alcoholic and nonalcoholic variety *Check I.D.s to make sure your customers are legal *Take drink orders *Manage your bar *Keep up the liquor and bar supplies *Order liquor and bar supplies *Serve drinks to customers *Deal with people *Tell drunk people they’ve had to much to drink

  4. WHAT YOU MAKE You can make $18,680 on average a year. That’s $8.98 an hour.

  5. WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE JOB You have to be over 18 so you can actually serve alcoholic beverages. Usually they hire over 25. Just have a high school diploma or GED or bartending school and you’re good. Also they train you for it at the place you work ahead of time. You sometimes work as a helper for a bartender until you get enough skills to be on your own.

  6. The cool parts of being a bartender: *Work late nights and weekends *Get to talk to new people *Mix drinks for a job

  7. Not so awesome parts: *You have to deal with people *You have to deal with drunk people *You may have to work holidays
