  2. As you come in, write down this question and answer it! • Is there anything that a president can do to get himself into trouble? • Give examples. • PS – You will need your book today, so go ahead and get it!

What does the Constitution say about it? • Turn in your book to page758. • According to this table of contents, how many different parts (or Articles) are in the Constitution? • Which one describes the president’s jobs? • Which section discusses Impeachment? • Find this section in the next few pages.

  4. Impeachment • Write down the reasons that a president may be impeached under. • What parts of the Constitution outlines the impeachment process?

  5. Impeachment Process • With your partner, use Article 1 Section 2 Clause 5 Section 3 Clause 6 & 7 to create a flow chart of the steps that a presidents has to go through to be impeached.

  6. Summarize • On your own, please summarize the events that you just outlined.

  7. Who was impeached? • There were only 2 presidents who were ever impeached. • President Andrew Johnson • President Bill Clinton • Read about their impeachments on page 311-312. Describe why each man was impeached.
